Clickbank to be down all p2p products at April 9th.

just received an email from clickbank saying that they'll be shutting down all sites that "encourage the unlawful transfer of copyrighted media, such as music, movies, videos, and games (typically known as "P2P" products).

Shutdown date will be April 9th.

Just a warning to anyone promoting any of these products.

P2P means peer-to-peer sharing, meaning that the files are not downloaded from a central server, but instead are shared between the users, like torrents, and P2P networks like Kazaa, Gnutella, etc.

Basically, those products on CB were rip-offs, in which you paid $30- $50 to be told to download the movies from Torrent networks, which you can find for free.

Considering the compliance date on this, April 9th, I think they're hedging their bets in case the PirateBay trial goes south. Don't want to be the ones done for rendering assistance to a criminal activity or some BS like that.
The amount of legal power being wielded by private organisations, such as the RIAA and its worldwide counterparts, is nothing short of disgusting. They've even gone and gotten police squads to raid peoples' homes by saying that it's a massive movie copying facility with links to terrorism... The number of stories on TorrentFreak about it is creepy.

Anyway, these programs are just going to move to another payment provider.
We've actually had a few of the CB refugees sign up at AffCash.

I found an alternative to Clickbank for these types of products.

I just signed up, I'm going to test it out and let you guys know how the system works

If you're one of those people who no longer have a payment processor thanks to this decision, or one of those people sending me traffic to a now defunct program, feel free to drop me a line.

Fact of the matter is that the VAST majority of things on ClickBank are of such poor quality, or of so much stolen and un-cited content, that the entire operation is shady, and the only reason it's still around is because a) they're just facilitating payment, so they're fine and b) there's a suck born every minute.

I just received an email from the legal department at clickbank saying it will not be allowing " any products, that in our sole judgment, encourage unlawful transfer of copyrighted media, such as music, movies, videos and games ( typically known as P2P Products "

Does this mean the end of Homebreware, my wii downloads, unlimited wii downloads platinum partners sites. Where does this leave them.

They said they are giving advanced warning so we can move our exsiting promotions and adverts to other product niches.

This is supposed to happen from noon on Monday the 9th April 20009. Anyone else receive this.

What are your thoughts on what this means. THese products were always good sellers.

I received the email from clickbank saying that they will be ending all related P2P products...I also recently visitied platinumpartner.com and they are currently promoting a website name yourclick.com

Has anyone heard of yourclick.com?

They seem to have the same websites as clickbank...i noticed that the movie downloads and net fast movie downloads are there...

Can i get feedback?...Has anyone started promoting with them lately?
